From the 9th December Atherstone will be getting a different timetable to what its been used to. Traintimes will alter and services will change.
The main differences are the introduction of an hourly ish service through the rush hours and a later service.
Unfortunately Polesworth, although originally listed as getting its service back, has been removed from the new timetable. As have the early morning stopping Virgin services at Atherstone. But what you never had you won't miss. From the last time table we have only gained. Atherstone continues to go from strength to strength and passenger numbers continue to grow.
Since its re-opening Atherstone has been completely refurbished with the replacement of the footbridge with a step free under pass, a new car park with disabled bays, new platform surfacing, new fencing, improved lighting, CCTV, help points, ticket machine, digital information boards and audio announcements, signage and shelters and gardens.
