Recieved a letter today of Queen Elizabeth School, Atherstone
Dear Neighbour
As I am sure you are aware. last night Thursday night 29th June ws our annual Year 11 Leavers ball. (I wasn't, and I'm not sure why the head is sure that I would be, but never mind ;D ) This has become something of a major event, not just at QE, but a little further afield in Atherstone ( ) . Hundreds of people turned out to watch the arrival of the limousines, converted fire engines and Rolls Royces and the evening proved spectacularly successful with our young people doing the school and town proud in their ball gowns and suits.
Each year we try to incorporate something new in the annual ball and this year it was decided to hold a small firework display at the conclusion of the festivities. We asked for a modest 3 minute display. I understand that the firework display did cause some inconvenience to local residents. I must confess that the display was grander and louder than I had anticipated.
I appologise if our celeration firwork display did cause inconvenience to you, and should we decide to repeat the venture next year, will endeavour to ensure all local residents know exactly when this will take place. Whilst I did receive a few complaints about the firework display, the overwhelming majority of the comments received said how good it was and what a marvellous evening for the young people our annual ball was. If you would like to contact me at the school, or, failing that you could attend our final coffee morning of the term which takes place in the Uper School hall from 10.00to 11.0 on Thursday 13th July.
Yours sincerely

Well I've got two complaints
1. Why wasn't I told the time of the display, I missed the first 3 minutes because I thought it was a yob letting them off.
2. Why are you not sure about next year, tell me now, so as I don't miss it.
