A customer enjoys relaxes on the plush leather sofa's The Lounge is being pushed as a top quality late night live entertainment venue. Plush leather sofa's chairs, and relaxing ambient lighting make the pub popular during the day and live music bring late night revelers in. The Lounge has door staff on a weekend and enforces a strict age policy. The venue is a refreshing change for Atherstone which has seen a down turn in recent years.

It Looks quite doesn't it, lets hope all the other pubs follow and refurbish so that we can get some decent night life in the place. It used to be a better night out than Nuneaton or Tamworth at one time. I'd tell you all about it but I'm too young to remember.

I can remember the late 80's early 90's, when berties opened. It started off with penguins on the door, which promptly changed to doormen, it went down hill slowly over the years untill the bailiffs took everything. Nice when it re-opened, it's a good venue though and I'm suprised it's not still open, but then I suppose the night clubs took it's trade now.
