STRUGGLING North Warwickshire Borough Council will have to make savings in excess of £2million over the next four years. The authority admitted it is “deeply concerned” and “disappointed” with the Local Government Finance Settlement for 2014/15 and 2015/16. A recent consultation paper into the settlement will be discussed at the council’s executive board agenda meeting on Tuesday, September 10. www.tamworthherald.co.uk/Council-make-2million-cuts-years/story-19756557-detail/story.html

Its hard to see where NWBC can make cuts. They do so little to start with. Its a wonder that they manage to spend 2 million in the first place. They don't sponsor events, they don't provide flowers, They have very few roads and footpaths to maintain, not that they do, they don't provide Christmas lights. They do however send two dustbin wagons a week to us though because the bin men where too idle to climb stairs and left the bin bags on the landing for weeks. This resulted in us being told not to use the bin cupboards that had been in use for over 30 years and we were to start using the bins they'd put in the cycle store. Without our permission. This requires a special small bin wagon to collect the bins.
And there's the replacement of the old bin store doors with new upvc. I'm sure the junk in the cupboard will feel much safer now that they're fire resistant. The front door isn't fire resistant. doesn't matter if i burn.

First of all I'd get rid of the chief exec cos he doesn't even do what he claims to do let alone what he or she should do. Then the executive, managers, heads of departments, supervisors, heads of departments inspectors and then perhaps some of the workers may actually be able to get some work done.
