The annual Christmas lights switch on, followed by a spectacular fireworks display over St Mary's Church.
A great way to kick start the festive season in Hinckley with the Christmas Lights Switch on and Tin Hat Fair.
There will be entertainment and attractions for all the family throughout the evening. Santa and his elves, live reindeer, live entertainment, children's activities and market stalls will fill the town centre for a spectacular evening. There will be the chance to participate in some late night shopping.
The radio roadshow stage will be in the Market Place from 4.00pm and will feature live performances. The lights will be switched on by Santa Claus and the Mayor at 6.30pm, followed by the firework display.
There will also be the Tin Hat Fair, which includes around 20 traditional fun fair rides running the length of Regent Street, taking place on Friday night from 5pm to 10pm and all day Saturday from 11am to 10.30pm.

The Christmas Lights will be switched on by a celebrity at 6.00 p.m.
Earl Shilton - Friday, 29th November. 6.00pm - 9.00pm The village will see the lights being switched on at 7pm, with fairground rides, stalls, face painters, reindeer, husky dogs and a live band all set to make this the biggest Christmas cracker of the year!
Tamworth - Saturday, 30th November. 2.00pm - 5.00pm
Switch on the Festive Spirit in Tamworth with the Christmas Lights Event!
The fun will start at 2pm, with scores of events taking place throughout the town centre during the afternoon.
This year, there will be a stage in St Editha’s Square sponsored by Touch FM radio station. The stage will feature performances from TAMY, Tamworth Pantomime Company, Amington Band, Tamworth Voices and the winners of the school choir competition, plus competitions and giveaways throughout the day.
The Community Café will be running free arts and crafts activities in the Town Hall, there will be a live Nativity under the Town Hall, donkey rides in St Editha's Square and St Editha’s Church will be packed with more than 100 decorated Christmas trees.
A funfair, face painters, treasure hunt and walkabout performers will add to the festive atmosphere. Plus, there will be a demonstration of a "victim car crash rescue" from Tamworth's Fire Service.
Hundreds of Santas will be taking part in the Rotary Club's "Santa Stroll", which starts in St Editha’s Square at 4pm and aims to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
The switch-on fun will build to a climax at 5pm, when the lucky winner of the festive art competition will join the Mayor of Tamworth to switch on Tamworth’s Christmas lights.
Once the lights are blazing, the crowd in St Editha’s Square will be invited to join in a big sing along of traditional Christmas carols, led by Amington Band.

Polesworth Lantern procession & Christmas Market - Thursday, 5th December. Lantern procession from Polesworth garage car park at 5.30pm. Travels across the park to the Abbey. Market 6.00pm - 9.00pm. Food, drink, produce, gifts, entertainment.
Coleshill Lights - Saturday, 7th December. Lights switch on 4.30pm Town Hall, High Street.
The Mayor, Cllr. Bill Richards, will light the internal Christmas decorations within the Town Hall which will trigger the whole High Street to be simultaneously lit up. Christmas Fair 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. high Street
Many seasonal stalls and musical performances by local schools.
If Coleshillians have been good, Santa will call in on the children as well.
