We're after spotters to spot grot spots and report them back to us. Anywhere were you think could do with a tidy up, some TLC, some attention graffiti removal, loose paving, missing paving, street lights out. Also perhaps a community project, a lick of paint, a garden, better planting, more flower beds.

What a great idea! Who will be cleaning up the Grot Spots? We live close to Royal Meadow Park and although Streetscape do a fantastic job of cleaning it up on a regular basis, it's still like a landfill in some areas! Particularly in the areas around the children's playground and along parts of the river. We often take bags to pick up the litter when we're out walking so we're delighted about an initiative like this.
Also, along the A5 near Atherstone, particularly on the roundabout (Mancetter?) because it's full of litter.
Can anything be done about raising awareness of the problem of litter in our area? We were in Scotland recently and there's a big TV campaign calling it 'a dirty secret'.

Just a couple of photos of the litter dropped on a daily basis in Royal Meadow Park. My husband cleaned this up as he always does when he takes our dog for a walk, as do I and no doubt other residents. Streetscape of course do their job well but is there anything that can be done to help prevent this mindless behaviour by those using the park? I'm sure they just think that the 'litter fairies' come at night and clean it all away just so they can drop it all again the next day. Along parts of the river there is rubbish in the water (along with a bike), litter all along the river bank and clothes and plastic bags decorating the trees. I hate to see such a lovely area spoiled in this way. Can any preventative measures be taken?
