New member - skatepark proposal

Hi all,

I have lived in Atherstone all my life, for many years when me and my friends used to skate, we went through hell trying to get Atherstone a skatepark, granted it never happened.

I was happy to see a couple of years ago an indoor park opened in one of the dis-used units down on the industrial estate, i went down to see what had gone on and frankly it seemed quite dangerous and i'm not surprised it shut down.

After recently reading some posts on the nwbc park facebook page it is evident that people miss the park, it gave them somewhere to go and something to do.


Granted i am now 25, but i have my own children now and i would love for them and all the other young members of the Atherstone community to have a skatepark, i think it will be great for the community.

I want to front this idea and make it a reality, please if you have any questions or opinions on this proposal then please voice them
