Does any one know if there are any defibrillators in the town? If not where would be the best place for one? I'd assume that doctors surgeries would have one, maybe leisure centres too.
Busy places 'need heart machines' More pubs, shopping centres and offices should have defibrillators installed on site, the ambulance service has urged. The "initial minutes are vital" for a patient in cardiac arrest, West Midlands Ambulance Service said. "The quicker they receive treatment from these life-saving machines, the better their chances of staying alive," a spokesman said. The service is appealing to busy public places. Its community response team has details on training and funding. The machines works in addition to rapid response vehicles with trained paramedics, the spokesman added. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7242638.stm
