Dozens of colourful balloons were released into the sky to mark the official opening of Mancetter's brand new SureStart Centre.
The organisation, in Old Farm Road, which offers support to families with children under five, now boasts extra services to make it the 'centre of village life'.
"Families in Mancetter and the surrounding area will benefit from these new facilities," explained Warwickshire County Council's Strategic Director for children, young people and families, Marion Davis, who cut the ribbon to declare the new centre open.
"The expansion of the existing centre is part of a countywide programme that will allow children's centres to deliver a wide range of services to communities across Warwickshire."
The extended service now means the centre can provide integrated care and education for pre-school youngsters in Hartshill, Arley and the Whitacres, as well as Mancetter, Ridge Lane and Birchley Heath.
To celebrate the opening, families in the area were invited to a fun-packed day out.
Balloons, with personal wishes written by the children attached, were just the start. Clowns were on hand to add a touch of magic.
Other activities at the event included face painting, hair braiding, a magic show, a storyteller, as well as a whole host of outdoor attractions such as an inflatable castle and an assortment of giant garden games.
The new centre will offer services that will help children and families.
The types of services and activities delivered in the centre as well as the outreach work around North Warwickshire include Stay and Play groups, Bumps and Babies, a breastfeeding caf??, toy libraries, a community Internet caf??, health development and a neighbourhood nursery offering full day care.
Cherylynne Harrison, from the centre said: "We have a lot to offer families with young children in Mancetter.
"These new community facilities will enable us to get involved with even more people in the area."
