I've just bought max payne for my Xbox. Has anyone else played ? what did you think to it? any tips? One annoying thing I've noticed is that the character blocks my view of where I'm aiming sometimes. Also it's possible to see around corners when the character wouldn't be able to. I think I prefer first person games to second or third person .

Got on to chapter 1 prologue, which is a dream sequence and blood maze, yawn. This is a great game that is ruined by weird dream sequences involving mazes of corridors, which are bearable and blood line mazes where you die if you fall of the like which seems to be hanging in space. Also the fire sequence is in my opinion impossible without finding out on line which way to run, and even then it took about 25 tries to complete and thats on easy. There is an excellent walk through on 3d realms with pictures... can't be from x box though as some parts are different to the x box... so far chapter 1 The American dream prologue is different, you can't get into the room on the right at the bottom of the stairs, you pass the locked control room and get greeted by three baddies at the bottom, one is supposed to go into the room on the right, I assume this has been taken out to stop max getting grenades before that famous black hole in the subway... The balcony section at Ragna Rock night club is missing... Also in the bank vaults escape ( part1 chapter2 ) it says kill the 3 at the top of the stairs, get the grenade and go back to the start of the level and throw it in the hole. Well you can't on x box because thats the previous level and the corridor gets blocked by rubble, Only way to do that is use the cheat menu to get grenades at the start. I've not used any of the walk through pages until I've tried to do it without at least once as I feel it spoils the fun uncertainty and anticipation of whats to come next. It is easy to miss ammunition, painkillers and secret rooms/containers though. Painkillers turn up on bodies, in drawers, wall cabinets, in holes in the ground under a lift, in lockers, in boxes on crates and in crates( break locks and small crates/boxes with the bat, jump on whatever you can, doors, crates etc to get on to crates, gantries, crane Gib's, walk ways etc ) If your low on life you can guarantee there's painkillers nearby.
