Hiya Folks, I am collating information on the midlands mining industry. I would appreciate contact from anybody on the forum who has worked, or has family members who worked in the mining industry and has pictures or any information regardless how insignificant it may seem!
Thanks for reading

As i was saying elsewhere, my dad which was really my grandad, worked at ansley workshops maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=4122703732023094702,52.540056,-1.551271&time=&date=&ttype=&q=Pipers+Ln+%4052.540056,+-1.551271&sll=52.540932,-1.549051&sspn=0.005625,0.014591&ie=UTF8&ll=52.541624,-1.551261&spn=0.011249,0.029182&z=15&iwloc=addr&om=0 on Pipers Lane. Unfortunately he's not with us anymore as is often the case with writing up history. I know we did have a few pictures of individuals and groups but finding them may be a problem. I'll see if I can find them out. I know Dougie McEwen is still around as i sometimes stop for a chat. I'll try to get in contact with him. I do know that there was plenty horse play between them and they were often playing practical jokes. Ansley Workshops had an Asbestos roof and I know many including dad fell victim after the years of breathing the dust in.
