Blackpool, it's close by and the kids love it. If it were just for me, I'd choose the lakes.

I have only been to Blackpool once but I did like it a lot, such a huge beach, well so I am told it was a huge sea when we were there and was crashing onto the prom. I really did like it though and will definitely go again

The Lakes are quite nice, spectacular scenery, but then so is spain. Not the lager lout tourist part, but the normal quiet part. I need another holiday by the time I return back home though.

Think geoffs got enough to wory about with the xmas lights. I like anywhere in the uk, there's loads of nice places, I haven't been to many so far this year though, last year I went portsmouth, plymouth, bournemouth, isle of wight, weston superm are, blackpool, liverpool, ingoldmells, skegness. Not counting the inland places, peaks, lakes, penines, moors, new forrest.
