Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Road Traffic Collision, Mancetter
Inc 154 Saturday 22 September
Police officers from the Major Investigation Unit, Roads, are seeking witnesses to a serious road traffic collision on the A5 near the Mancetter Island, which took place at shortly after 12.30pm on Saturday 22 September.
The collision involved a blue Suzuki motorcycle and a grey Mitsubishi Outlander.
The 35-year old male rider of the motorcycle was taken to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire with chest and arm injuries, where he is in the critical care unit. His condition is described as being critical but stable.
The 70-year old male driver of the Mitsubishi was taken to hospital for a check up for minor injuries, but was later released.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, or anyone who saw either vehicle being driven, prior to the collision taking place. They are asked to contact PC Gary Wilson at the MIU Roads on 01926 415415.

I passed this by on my way to MK and the bike looked a right mangle. Why there's a right turn on northbound is a mystery to me as its far safer to go around the island or turn at the bull and go through the village.
