Freight operator DB Schenker has chosen the Birch Coppice terminal as it's hub of choice for intermodal trains to the midlands. The terminal, also known as Birmingham international Freight terminal (BIFT), is not to be confused with Birmingham Lawley Street terminal. DBS runs two trains from Southampton per day and one from felixstowe. BIFT is operated by Roadways Container Logistics, which handles around 770 containers in and out per week for DBS.
